z_index_tablet=\u00bb500&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p><em>Sergio Rizos<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00abLa hist\u00f2ria de C\u00f2rdova en el segle XX comen\u00e7a amb l&#8217;arribada dels Salesians al barri de Sant Lorenzo\u00bb. Aix\u00ed relataven les cr\u00f2niques de l&#8217;\u00e8poca el comen\u00e7ament de segle per als cordovesos.<\/p>\n<p>En efecte, en 1901 va sorgir la Fundaci\u00f3 Salesiana de C\u00f2rdova en la popular barriada de Sant Lorenzo. Tan sols havien passat 20 anys des que el nostre mestre i fundador, Sant Joan Bosco, envi\u00e9s als Salesians a Utrera per a complir la seva missi\u00f3 amb els joves d&#8217;Andalusia.<\/p>\n<p>La fundaci\u00f3 del Col\u00b7legi Salesi\u00e0 de C\u00f2rdova es deu principalment a la gesti\u00f3 de tres persones que en tot moment van donar suport a la vinguda dels salesians a la ciutat. D&#8217;una banda, el prelat de la Di\u00f2cesi, Excm. Dr. Jos\u00e9 Pozuelo i Herrero; per un altre, el rector Sr. Mariano Amaya Castellano, que no va descansar ni un moment fins a veure als salesians en la seva parr\u00f2quia de Sant Lorenzo; i finalment i no per aix\u00f2 menys important, el sacerdot Sr. Francisco de Paula Romero Bolloqui, que va sufragar \u00edntegrament l&#8217;empresa.<\/p>\n<p>Aix\u00ed que l&#8217;1 de desembre de 1901, diumenge primer d&#8217;Advent, va ser la data triada per a la desitjada inauguraci\u00f3 que es va desenvolupar en dos escenaris diferents: la primera part, religiosa, en la parr\u00f2quia de Sant Lorenzo; i la segona, de car\u00e0cter m\u00e9s popular, en la nova casa dels Salesians que anteriorment era una horta situada al carrer Major de Sant Lorenzo, n\u00fam. 168. En els seus comen\u00e7aments, el col\u00b7legi estava compost pel director, Don Juan Castellano (Pbro), dos ac\u00f2lits i tres fills de Maria Auxiliadora.<\/p>\n<p>El Superior de les Cases Salesianes d&#8217;Andalusia, Don Pedro Ricaldone, va oficiar la inauguraci\u00f3 acompanyat d&#8217;un considerable nombre d&#8217;autoritats cordoveses i ve\u00efns del barri. Des d&#8217;aquest mateix moment, el col\u00b7legi constitueix una aportaci\u00f3 substantiva i entranyable en el desenvolupament i evoluci\u00f3 de C\u00f2rdova.
